My Approaches

Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy

Psychoanalytic psychotherapy is an approach that aims to help individuals understand their unconscious emotions, thoughts, and internal conflicts. The goal of this therapy is for the person to gain deeper self-awareness and enter a process of emotional healing by recognizing repressed feelings, early life experiences, and inner conflicts. Understanding how past experiences influence current thoughts, behaviors, and relationships allows for a more integrated sense of self and supports living a healthier life. In this process, the focus is not only on symptoms but also on uncovering their underlying roots.

The therapy aims to explore unconscious dynamics, recognize the impact of early experiences on current relationships, and work through internal conflicts. This process unfolds within the framework of a secure and profound therapeutic relationship, which constitutes one of the core elements of psychoanalytic work.

Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT)

Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT) is a therapeutic approach developed by Peter Fonagy and Anthony Bateman. It aims to enhance emotional regulation and relational skills by strengthening the individual’s ability to understand both their own mental processes and the feelings and intentions of others. The capacity for mentalization can be weakened by trauma or insecure attachment experiences. MBT supports the redevelopment of this capacity within a safe therapeutic environment, promoting emotional awareness, impulse control, and healthy relationships. Typically conducted once or twice a week, this approach is particularly effective for individuals experiencing emotional instability and identity-related difficulties.
